Portland based multi-instrumentalist Peter Broderick (Loch Lomond, Horse Feathers, Efterklang) releases his fourth solo album (each composed in a different genre) in just over two years. The new album Music for Falling From Trees is 29 minutes long, divided into seven sections, and created for a contemporary dance that recounts the story of a man in a psychiatric hospital and his struggle to maintain his identity. The score was composed for piano and strings, evoking melancholy and inner conflict to accompany a haunting, unsettling dance. Music for Falling from Trees shows another side of this uniquely gifted artist and composer.
