Ramona Falls is Brent Knopf’s (Menomena) solo project that took shape during the delay of the third Menomena album. The Ramona Falls project provided Knopf with an outlet to work with 35 Portland and New York musicians (The Helio Sequence, Loch Lomond, Mirah, and Matt Sheehy and others). The resulting record features Knopf’s smooth, downhearted vocals over a charming combination of acoustic guitar, piano melodies, strings and horns, mandolin, fuzzy bass, electric guitar, synths, harmonies with tracks that rise and fall in intensity.
