Seattle’s M. Bison, already known as a great live band, has recently released a full-length album that should garner them attention far beyond their local haunts. This group turns out catchy, energetic piano pop that amazingly is both earnest and sarcastic. Named after a character in the game Street Fighter II Turbo, this four-piece isn’t afraid to let their inner nerd come out in their music. Opening track “Samurai Showdown” is a perfect blend of video game geek and power pop, while “Elves Sing La La La” combines a sweet melody with thrashing drums and grandiose vocals that shows off their ambitious energy. – Written by DBosket
