Hailing from Cleveland, The Lighthouse and the Whaler’s first full-length release after 2008’s A Whisper, A Clamour EP is a beautiful album that combines big, romantic melodies, earnest vocals, and whimsical touches courtesy of the piano and glockenspiel. The band aptly describes their sound as “ethereal pop with a folk wrapper around it.” Listening to the album, the four-piece has some wonderful harmonies that could give Fleet Foxes a run for their money and gorgeous violin that takes several songs to a higher emotional level. – Written by DBosket
