We Are Wolves’ third LP is a dizzy mash-up of dance, punk, electro/synth and heavy metal sung in three languages (the band is Québécois and frontman Alex Ortiz has Colombian roots). The songs on Invisible Violence are laden with aggressive guitar, ‘80s style video game sound effects, and vocals that one online review described as “a hypothetical alternate world where Ozzy sings for TV on the Radio.” Standout intro track “Paloma” successfully balances the keyboard effects with hard-driving guitars/drums and tempo changes that hold your interest through to the end. – Written by DBosket
