Vancouver based Yukon Blonde play an eclectic brand of 60’s-inspired psychedelic indie rock – think Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac and Crosby Stills & Nash – with multi-layered vocal harmonies, hook-filled melodies and even a little twang. Their self-titled debut full-length blends all sorts of genres, from folk to power-pop and standouts include the appropriately airy “Wind Blows,” the polished rocker “Brides Song” and the closer “Loyal Man.” Yukon Blonde is the latest and greatest in a line of up-and-coming Canadian bands that bring the best aspects of classic rock and fuse it with the style and conviction of indie rock. – Written by JFelton
