The debut album by Toronto’s The Weather Station has a haunting quality which features singer-writer Tamara Lindeman with delicate piano, guitar, banjo and violin arrangements. Reeling from a personal loss, Lindeman began to express her emotions through music for the first time. The Line is a beautiful album – Lindeman’s pristine voice wafts over sparse folk songs and multi-layered instrumentals with the banjo, cello, and percussion. It is a meditation on grief that explores a range of emotions: loss, regret, memory, anger, and love.
