Hill Country Revue is Cody Dickinson (guitar, drums, piano, washboard), Chris Chew (bass, vocals), Ed “Hot” Cleveland (drums), Daniel Coburn (vocals, harp) and Kirk Smithhart (guitar, vocals). Make a Move is an homage to the juke-joint trance blues made famous by R.L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. The album was primarily composed with Dickenson’s long-time friend, Garry Burnside, the youngest of R.L.’s fourteen children. Drawing from the traditional North Mississippi Hill Country blues they grew-up with, the Hill Country Revue stays true to its roots while experimenting with elements of contemporary music.
