Toronto based alt-country/roots rock band The Wooden Sky are out with their third release, Every Child A Daughter, Every Moon A Sun and they are fulfilling the promise of their first couple albums. When their original plans for recording fell through, the band kept on writing and playing, generating enough tracks to make a double album. Fortunately they pared things down and the remaining 13 songs revel in twang, rock, soul and even bursts of doo-wop. At the center are The Wooden Sky’s characteristic protagonists – misguided everymen who drown their loneliness in drink but never really lose hope for a better life. Check out the latest from this ever evolving, talented band. – Written by JFelton
