Baltimore-based dream-pop band Beach House’s fourth album is Bloom, which expands on the band’s warm fuzzy atmospherics as displayed in 2010’s phenomenal Teen Dream. Conceived by the duo of Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand as a traditional album which is experienced in one long listen in their prescribed order, it was produced again by Chris Coady (TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Delta Spirit) in TX and NY. Bloom is intended as minimalist and temporal, an experimental imagining of Beach House’s unique sound. The result is lush, beautiful tracks that fill the space and then are fleeting; standout singles include “The Hours” and “On the Sea.” – Written by JFelton
