Male/female duo Jenn Rawling and Basho Parks share their love of country folk music on their debut album Take the Air. The two met in 2010 when both were recovering from serious – possibly even career ending injuries – and while convalescing and falling in love, discovered their musical compatibility: Rawling’s warm and sweet vocals and guitar and multi-instrumentalist Parks’ talented strings (violin, viola). On this release, which has a beautiful cover illustration, the narratives are steeped in nature and beauty, strung across lovely, poignant melodies.
