Seapony’s sophomore album, Falling, continues where their debut, Go with Me, leaves off with another set of sun soaked dream pop. Whereas Go with Me perfectly captures the season change from spring to summer, Falling captures summer’s transition to autumn. Some standouts include: “Follow”, a breezy track that leaves listeners clamoring for endless summer days; “Never Be”, a bustling track with a slightly more urban vibe; the Smiths-esque “Prove to Me” which romanticizes one’s emotional struggles; and “Fall Apart” which lazily drifts and is easy to get lost in. Summer may be fleeting and the leaves soon change color, but Seapony takes a moment to soak-up the simpler things in life. – Written by JFelton
