Kentucky singer/songwriter Chris Knight writes working man songs that reflect life struggles through a gritty, determined lens. Little Victories is Chris Knight’s first album in four years and the follow-up to his last acclaimed record Heart of Stone. Knight continues to draw upon trials and tribulations of blue collar Americans with honest songwriting, poignant truths and raw rural storytelling with acoustic and electric compositions. Produced by country singer and producer Ray Kennedy, Little Victories takes on a live vibe, with no studio polish or overdubbing. Guest appearances include Buddy Miller on opener “In The Mean Time” and “Missing You” and John Prine on the title track. Trying to identify the highlights is hard since Little Victories is a solid album from beginning to end and easily stands toe-to-toe with the albums of fellow songwriter’s and kindred spirits: Steve Earle, John Prine, John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen. – Written by JFelton
