The San Francisco indie Americana four piece the Trainwreck Riders return with their third album, Ghost Yards. On the latest album, Trainwreck Riders continue to effortlessly combine country and roots with punk influences which results in a sound that draws as much from urban life as it does from rural living. Ghost Yards is another solid effort that showcases the band’s talents with songs like the new single “House Upon the Hill”, the down-tempo country soul of “Wet Cement”, the varied indie sounds found on “Waste Time”, to the country punk romp “Slippery’s Last Stand” making for an eclectic listen. In summation, Ghost Yards is the urban country quartet’s most accomplished effort to date and I can’t wait to see what this constantly evolving band does next. – Written by JFelton
