New Jersey-based indie punk band Titus Andronicus is out with their third full length, Local Business. Unlike their previous effort, The Monitor, a concept album about the Civil War which also incorporated era sounds, the band returns to fun, long sprawling stretches of punk and rock. The line-up is more focused, too, with a core of five members instead of the large collaboration of 30 musicians who composed their last two releases. Frontman Patrick Stickles keeps things local – and personal – with intimate revelations about his struggle with an eating disorder and other emotional stories. Yet Titus Andronicus strikes the right balance of fuzzed out and driving, shredding guitars, keeping these heavy-hearted tunes fully punk and truly enjoyable. – Written by SMarx
