Toronto four-piece Parkas officially called it quits earlier in the year, but it didn’t stop them from releasing their final album, You Should Have Killed Us When You Had the Chance. I was unfamiliar with Parkas before You Should Have Killed Us, and am a little sorry I wasn’t introduced to them earlier because this album is full of energy, heart, and grit. It’s a solid rock album that has traces of The Replacements, Dinosaur Jr., The Clash, and Bruce Springsteen. Standout tracks are the opening song “Don’t Say No” and the rousing “Isolation Pay” and “The Gang’s All Gone.” – Written by DBosket
