Nashville based twenty-five-year-old singer/songwriter Daniel Donato is a six-string guitar wunderkind who has been honing his skills since the age of 16 by busking on street corners, then playing thousands of shows around town. Donato’s debut, A Young Man’s Country, was produced by legendary jazz and blues guitar veteran Robben Ford, who focused Donato’s various influences like Outlaw Country, Cosmic Country, and bands like The Grateful Dead, Gram Parsons, and The Allman Brothers into what he calls “cosmic country for the 21st century.” A Young Man’s Country includes eight original songs and three inspired covers, including a spirited nine-minute long Dead jam “Fire on The Mountain.” Other notable tracks include: the catchy opening track “Justice”; the bluegrass-tinged “Forgotten Days”; the covers of John Prine’s “Angel of Montgomery” and Waylon Jennings’ “Ain’t Living Long Like This”; the soulful ballad “Sweet Tasting Tennessee”; the twang-heavy “Diamond In The Rough”; and the honky-tonking “Luck of the Draw.” Daniel Donato’s A Young Man’s Country is a great debut from a young up-and-coming talent! – Written by JFelton
