Calm, contemplative, and dreamy are all words that describe Will Stratton’s sophomore release, No Wonder. This New Jersey native began writing songs on the piano at age 3 and has never looked back. His debut, What the Night Said, was released when Stratton was just 19 years old. Three years later, he earned his college degree and finished No Wonder, a lush collection of songs that evoke reflective, somber songwriters such as Nick Drake. Stratton’s songs are romantic without sounding overdone or contrived. It would be easy to dismiss this album as too mellow or sweet, but No Wonder is a lush folk album that shines with Stratton’s gorgeous instrumentation and thoughtful delivery. – Written by DBosket
