Brooklyn band Yeasayer takes a page from 80s synth with their new album, Odd Blood. The group still heavily uses tribal beats and energetic vocals from Chris Keating. Single “Ambling Alp,” released last October, gave listeners a taste of what was to come with Odd Blood – lots of electronic beats mixed with traditional percussions, dramatic vocals and engaging melodies. While “Ambling Amp” is probably the most radio-friendly track on the album, other standouts include the Vangelis-esque ballad “I Remember,” and the upbeat “One.” – Written by DBosket
