The Besnard Lakes – the Montreal collective fronted by husband-and-wife duo Olga Goreas and Jace Lasek – blend dreamy atmospherics, soaring melodies and classic rock nostalgia. Their latest The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night is complete with pulp tales of spies, out-of-control rock stars, imagined wars, codes and double-crosses. Adding to the vintage vibe is the same 1968 Nerve geranium mixing console used in the recording of Led Zepplin’s “Physical Graffiti.” This widely anticipated follow-up to 07’s The Besnard Lakes Are The Dark Horse is due out March 9th. – Written by JFelton
