Long Beach, CA four-piece Avi Buffalo adopted their name from Avigdor Zahner-Isenberg, the band’s 18 year-old frontman, singer/songwriter and guitarist, whose friends and collaborators Sheridan Riley (drums), Arin Fazio (bass) and Rebecca Coleman (keyboards, vocals) complete the line-up. Avi Buffalo’s bold and infectious indie pop features off-kilter male/female harmonies, 50’s pop arrangements and spunky guitar solos. A few standouts include “What’s In It For?” which features harmonized choruses ala the Beach Boys, and “Jessica,” a polished pop gem with quirky vocals. Avi Buffalo is sure to be one of the best summer albums of the year. – Written by JFelton
