Norway’s The Megaphonic Thrift is the collaboration between Richard Myklebust (Stereo 21), Linn Frøkedal and Njål Clementsen (Low Frequency In Stereo), and Fredrik Vogsborg (Casiokids). The band self-describes their music as “noise-pop with elements from shoegaze” which is achieved through solid guitar riffs, catchy melodies, sporadic doses of heavy feedback and vocals that seem layered on top of the instrumentals. What makes The Megaphonic Thrift so effective is that they are an extremely musically tight knit band with seamless transitions and polished instrumental arrangements. – Written by JFelton
