Montreal based indie rock band Final Flash debuts on “Homeless” a classic folk-rock / psychedelic roots music album of consistent but non-oppressive darkness. Produced by fellow Canadian Jace Lasek of The Besnard Lakes, Final Flash reveals the strong influence of Tom Petty and Pink Floyd, trending more towards contemporary rock than folk but always keeping it interesting. The pacing of the ten tracks works well, from the psychedelic folk on “Precious Amazing” to the guitar heavy “When The Day Turns Black” to their popular live show staple “Welcome To The House.” While captivating in it’s darkness, “Homeless” is an album of blazing guitar solos, driving percussion and the warm psychedelic reverberations of the sitar courtesy of guest performer Rishi Dhir (Elephant Stone). – Written by JFelton
