California indie country-roots band The Whiskey and the Devil Chaplain formed in 07 and have been building their fan base through heavy touring and hard rockin’ live shows. Their self-titled debut brings a catchy blend of folk, bluegrass and Americana to a wider audience in just four songs. Comprised of six musicians – Nicholas Ryan Hernandez (vocals, acoustic guitar), Keith Richard Crain (vocals, banjo), Daniel Story Rice (lap steel), Matt Sampietro (drums), Steven Potorke (bass) and Rob Dudley (lead guitar) – The Whiskey and the Devil Chaplain take mostly traditional instruments and add the percussive beats of handclaps and tambourine as well as lo-fi distorted recording machines for a raw, foot stomping vibe. – Written by JFelton
