Brent Randall’s piano-driven psych-pop is heavily inspired by 60’s and 70’s songwriters and set to beautiful choral arrangements and expansive melodies. All the songs on We Were Strangers in Paddington Green are flawlessly crafted and arranged, with steel drums, horns, harp, chordophones, and a multitude of other instruments. 20 guest musicians plus the five core members of Randall’s band, the Pinecones, contribute their talents on this record. Dramatic, playful and nostalgic, easily allowing one’s head to slip into the clouds.
