Following the release of their Hooligans EP in 2010, the Brooklyn band Neighbors are back with another indie folk EP entitled, August. The quintet demonstrates their continued trajectory of growth, with richly layered compositions involving strings, synth, harmonica, loops, beats and surprising yet intriguing transitions. The four tracks, “August”, “Ophelia”, “Gone Too Long”, and “Bad Timing” were recorded in vocalist Noah Stitelman’s apartment along with the experienced hand of Kyle “Slick” Johnson (Modest Mouse, The Hives, Rogue Wave).
