The Philadelphia duo of Timothy Meskers (vocals, guitar) and Mark Saddlemire (drums) has grown into a fine six-piece band – Brown Recluse – and after six years, two EPs, and one cassette tape, they are finally out with their full-length, Evening Tapestry. The eleven song album retains a psych-pop sound with an indie twist; the influence of 60’s bands like The Beach Boys and The Zombies are evident. With its touches of surf rock and hazy lightness, Evening Tapestry is a great album to transition out of the fleeting days of summer and into the fall. – Written by SMarx
