California native Aaron Embry is a longtime musician and producer, fronting indie rock band Amnion and sharing stages with Elliott Smith, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Jane’s Addiction, and touring with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and now Mumford and Sons. Embry is finally out with his solo debut “Tiny Prayers”, an Americana folk album featuring simple instrumentation of acoustic guitar, clear vocals, and occasional harmonica. The songs vary in style from country to roots, from blues to jazz and even a touch of gospel. Embry introduces a thoroughly contemporary twist by recording parts on his smartphone with a stereo-mic accessory. Standouts among the twelve tracks include opener “Moon of the Daylit Sky”, the title track, and “Ode to If.” – Written by SMarx
