Victoria B.C. based singer-songwriter Aidan Knight returns with Small Reveal – the follow-up to his 2010 debut full-length, Versicolour. While Versicolour was more austere, Small Reveal finds Knight with a full band, The Friendly Friends (Colin Nealis, Olivier Clements, David Barry, and Julia Wakal), who bring a much fuller sound to his music. Small Reveal has a hazy and baroque-folk-pop quality that adds rich layers to Knight’s thoughtful songwriting. Notable tracks include: the atmospheric opener “Dream Team”, the melancholy ballad “The Master’s Call”, the twinkling carefree single “A Mirror”, and the somber closer “Margaret Downe.” All-in-all, Small Reveal is an even more pensive, creative, and ambitious effort that showcases a young talent on the rise. – Written by JFelton
