Singer-songwriter Annie Williams recently released an enjoyable pair of indie folk albums, This Mountain and Midnight Window. The two cds are notable less for their differences and more for their similarities: themes of adventure, the American West, love and home; emotive, raw vocals; and lovely, simple arrangements featuring guitar, cello and percussion. Both albums come in screen printed covers, adding another level of cohesion. Standouts include the title tracks, “Roll On Hills”, and “Cold.” – Written by SMarx
