Portland based singer/songwriter Barna Howard is out with his sophomore effort, Quite A Feelin’, the greatly anticipated follow-up to 2012’s eponymous debut of stripped down acoustic folk. The ten track set treads on familiar ground, yet sees Howard moving from basement recordings into the studio. Produced by Adam Sezler (M. Ward, Laura Gibson, Langhorne Slim) at Type Foundry Studio, the new album features richer instrumentation with slightly more polish. Quite a Feelin’ is another timeless album – it will likely make Record Dept’s best albums of the year list. Highlights include: the title track, “Notches on a Frame”, and on “Lend Me a Moment.” – Written by JFelton
