Cincinnanti-based rock band Buffalo Killers released their third album, the apt and simply titled 3. The group, which is comprised of brothers Zach (bass) and Andrew Gabbard (guitar) as well as Joey Sebaali (percussion), formed in 2006 and have since gained musical cred and support from southern rockers The Black Crowes, for whom they have performed as concert openers, as well as The Black Keys, whose Dan Auerbach produced their second release, Let It Ride. 3 treads a more Americana style than heard in the Buffalo Killers’ previous works, and this stronger country-rock vibe, aided by pedal steel and banjo, blends well with their early 70’s rock soaked sounds. Standouts among the 12 tracks include opener “Huma Bird”, “All Turn To Cloud”, and closer “Could Never Be.” – Written by SMarx
