Toronto-based singer/songwriter Dana Siposs follows-up her 2015 Canadian Folk Music Award nominated Up the Night Sky release with Trick of the Light. The album was produced by experimental producer Sandro Perri (Great Lake Swimmers, Woodpigeon) who paired Sipos with violinist Jesse Zubot (Jim Byrnes, Dan Mangan), singer/songwriter Mary Margaret O’Hara (Morrissey, The Walkabouts, Cowboy Junkies), and other notable Canadian musicians, resulting in a breathtaking album showcasing Sipos’ poetic lyricism and rhythmic fingerstyle guitar-playing. Standout tracks include: “Blue Ridge”; “Shenandoah”; “Lily In the Window”; “When the Body Breaks” and “Windsong.” Dana Sipos’s Trick of the Light is a gorgeous, polished and imaginative folk album. – Written by JFelton
