The Felice Brothers – Celebration, Florida

  • May 2, 2011

Helmed by two brothers and three friends from upstate New York, The Felice Brothers are set to release their full length on May 10th. Celebration, Florida, which shares its name with the Walt Disney Company planned community, is a lively album of well-crafted country folk rock. These 11 songs give life to a set of characters who inhabit a twisted, playful and primal carnival. Contributing to the raw sound is the inclusion of synth, 808’s, drum and rave beats, horns, accordion, blues, and acid jazz. While all this could easily devolve into chaos, The Felice Brothers make it work well, weaving the soundscapes, flourishes, and values into a cohesive whole. – Written by JFelton
