Toronto’s Great Lake Swimmers follow-up their Polaris Prize and Juno nominated 2009 album “Lost Channels” with their fifth full-length, “New Wild Everywhere.” Frontman Tony Dekker has settled in with the band comprised of Erik Arnsen (banjo/guitar), Bret Higgins (upright bass), Greg Milson (drums) and Miranda Mulholland (backing vocals/violin), continuing to refine their brand of melodic indie folk. The pacing of their album output allows them to explore and expand, and while “New Wild Everywhere” carries forward their standard sound, the charm of the songs lies in their beauty and ease. – Written by JFelton
