The Los Angeles-based indie-folk group Lord Huron follows-up 2018’s Vide Noir with their fourth full-length Long Lost – an unapologetically retro and stunningly beautiful album. Long Lost is a 16-track collection that combines elements of 50’s and 60’s Americana/roots music styles with ethereal baroque pop. The album is a bit more country-leaning this time and is filled with lush vistas and images of the open road. Standout tracks include: the trippy opener “The Moon Doesn’t Mind”; the catchy up-tempo “Not Dead Yet”; the witty Nilsson-esque “At Sea”; the noir vibed “Meet Me in the City”; the wistful waltz “I Lied,”; the sweeping hypnotic track “Not Dead Yet”; the forlorn love ballad “Love Me Like You Used To”; the twangy Roy Orbison-esque title-track; and the hazy, psychedelic closing track “Time’s Blur.” Lord Huron’s Long Lost is an expansive, imaginative album that will be an instant favorite for longtime fans and an excellent addition to their discography! – Written by JFelton
