Mini Mansions is the power pop project of Queens of the Stone Age bassist/Wires of Fire frontman Michael Shuman and friends Zach Dawes (bass, keyboard) and Tyler Parkford (keyboard, guitar), and their self-titled debut album has been gaining crowds of fans since initial release in November 2010. Often compared to John Lennon/The Beatles (the White Album years) and Elliott Smith only with distinctly psychedelic tendencies, Mini Mansions is a high energy, hook-filled album of nine songs and three vignettes put out in partnership between QOTSA lead Josh Homme’s label Rekords Rekords and Mike Patton’s (Faith No More) Ipecac Records.
