Canada’s Olympic Symphonium is back with its third LP, The City Won’t Have Time to Fight – a lovely set of folk-pop songs that showcase the group’s talent for producing well-crafted songs that don’t need to be flashy to sound unique. Recorded in one week in Fredericton, New Brunswick, songs like “State of the Union Address” and “Bad Habits” have patient, graceful guitar work that flows seamlessly with some great, soothing harmonies. “A Lot to Learn” has some wonderful slide guitar and banjo that lends a real sadness to the song, while “Crowded House” shows a more upbeat side to Olympic Symphonium. – Written by DBosket
