Portland’s Pure Bathing Culture – Daniel Hindman (guitar) and Sarah Versprille (vocals, keys) – make hazy atmospheric dream pop that is built around guitars, synth, drum machines, and soulful female vocals. Borrowing as much from R&B as it does synth pop, Moon Tides – the band’s debut full-length – is an inventive and sophisticated collection of songs that draw you in for repeated listens.
