Austin-based singer/songwriter Scott Pryor and his Philadelphia convened band The Common Sinners recently self-released their If We Set Out Now EP. Known for their live shows in intimate settings (often just living rooms) and interactive sing-alongs, Pryor and the band bring their brand of storytelling, touching on American history in its less inspiring and lesser known moments as well as love, self, and journeys. The five songs are all strong with catchy melodies, but standouts are “Gasoline Love”, a duet about the courtship of Pryor’s working class grandparents, and “Avalanche of Song.” – Written by JFelton
