Cincinnati trio The Seedy Seeds has recently released their third album, Verb Noun. The album is brimming with warm, fuzzy electronic pop that give just as much emphasis on their vocals and melodies as the quirky robotic beep and bleeps that puncutate their songs. It’s pretty charming music, but the most intriguing element to The Seedy Seeds is their use of strings and banjo and the blending of bluegrass sounds into their songs. It’s an unexpected twist that really works. Comprising Margaret Darling, Mike Ingram and Brian Penick, The Seedy Seeds have been working hard on the road this year, including an appearance at SXSW. They seem to have found a sweet spot in their music that can appear to both folk and electronic audiences, and will hopefully continue to explore their unique niche in the indie music scene. – Written by DBosket
