British trio The Wave Pictures have been making music for more than a decade and their ninth album Beer in the Breakers is another great addition in their discography of lyric-heavy rock. Recorded in just one day, the album captures the band’s sound as it transitions into more serious bluesy rock. Lead singer David Tattersall still tells witty stories with a keen eye for detail, however his vocals have a warmer delivery. Standouts include “Epping Forest”, “Now Your Smile Comes Over in Your Voice”, and “Rain Down.” – Written by JFelton
