Brooklyn band Woods is out with Sun and Shade – their sixth indie/folk rock album in just as many years. True to its title, there is both laid-back, lo-fi West Coast style pop and long instrumental passages with sonic experimentation. Woods is known as a consistent band, and Sun and Shade, which was released on lead singer Jeremy Earl’s Woodsist record label of DIY indie rock, is no exception. Notable tracks on this collection include “Hand It Out” and “Who Do I Think I Am?”, “Be All Be Easy” and “Sol Y Sombra.” – Written by JFelton
