Last summer the Brooklyn based Americana country band Yarn released their third album “Come On In”. With lead vocalist and classically trained guitarist Blake Christiana at the helm, the sextet brings a geographically rich set of tracks set in Texas (“Abilene”) and New York (“New York City Found” and “Schenectady”) full of honky tonk country and bluegrass. Tracks range from the melancholy to energetic; standouts include the above names songs as well as “Alone On The Weekend”, “Down On Your Luck” and “I Wanted To Get High”. “Come On In” is a tight album with impressive fingerpicking that grows with each repeated listening. – Written by JFelton
